Big Swole was let go by AEW last year after she was largely underutilized by the company. While many believed it was due to her suffering from Chron’s Disease, it was actually because her contract had simply run out. She also doesn’t think it’s too late for an apology from Tony Khan.

AEW President Tony Khan caused lot of controversy after he responded to Big Swole’s callout by being unprofessional about it. Khan also said he let Swole’s contract expire because she wasn’t good enough.

While speaking on the “Say Less” show, Swere Strickland addressed questions when it came to the topic of diversity in AEW.

“I feel like every industry needs that. I remember not too long ago the diversity issue for [AEW] was a huge talking point.”

Now this year, I feel like I brought a much different presence to that company in the last six months I’ve been there

The topic of diversity will continue to be a trend for a long time now and that is unlikely to change anytime soon.
