Vince McMahon had control of WWE, and most figured he would die as head of the company. Of course, nobody predicted 2022 would turn out the way it did either, especially Vince McMahon.

McMahon was implicated in a multi-million dollar hush money scandal. After his retirement, Triple H took over the company’s creative direction, while Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan were placed as the company’s co-CEOs.

Kurt Angle was recently on The Bubba Army show, and the Olympic Hero admitted that he has no way of contacting the former Chairman now, because Mr. McMahon had to surrender company property, including his cell phone.

“You know I honestly thought Vince was still working behind the scenes, he’s not, he’s gone. They actually made him give back his company cellphone, I have no way of getting in touch with him,” said Angle.

Let’s hope that Vince McMahon backed up his important contacts on another device, but Kurt Angle has no idea what that new phone number is. We’ll have to see if Angle and McMahon hang out during their retirements, but they are both witnessing a big change in the pro wrestling landscape without them as crucial parts of it.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
