WWE Creating New Tag Team With Unlikely Partners

WWE has a lot of people on their roster that they could put in a team. Now, we have one more partnership forming.

R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin are veterans of the WWE locker room. The two stars have crossed paths in the ring on numerous occasions. Now, they have formed an alliance.

Sean Sapp reported from behind Fightful’s paywall that R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin are listed as a tag team on WWE’s internal roster. The company has yet to give this new tag team a name.

R-Truth and Shelton Benjamin have squared off against each other on WWE Main Event and house shows in the past. The pair debuted as a tag team against NXT’s Josh Briggs and Brooks Jensen during previous episode of Main Event.

Shelton Benjamin accompanied R-Truth for his match against Von Wagner during the latest set of Main Event tapings before Raw last night in Brooklyn. R-Truth won the match as a result of a disqualification.

Shelton Benjamin hasn’t wrestled on the main roster since the June 27, 2022, episode of Monday Night Raw. R-Truth, on the other hand, last competed on the red brand in a six-man tag team match on July 11, 2022.
