WWE Hall of Famer Booker T is well-known veteran in the pro wrestling world. He made a name for himself in WCW before making his way to WWE. Booker T recently revealed details about his new role in WWE.

It was just last week that it was revealed Booker T would be working with Vic Joseph to call the action on WWE NXT. Now, Booker said he was unaware of this chance on his most recent Hall of Fame podcast. Booker thanked everyone who had helped him land the role without mentioning any specific names, although he did eventually single out one person.

You got to always stay ready just so you don’t have to get ready. If it wasn’t for him none of this would be possible, and that’s Michael Cole, man. Michael Cole has been my guy for quite some time, man. He’s been in my corner. So I just want to thank Michael Cole for making this all happen. I will be an advisor in certain aspects of guys. I’m all about trying to show these young guys what it takes to work at the top of the card.

Booker was eager to point out that he wouldn’t be joking around when seated next to Joseph. Since Booker has long run his Reality of Wrestling school in Houston, which has produced students like former “NXT” Women’s Tag Team Champion Roxanne Perez, he may be an invaluable resource as an evaluator. Although Booker’s “NXT” role behind the scenes has not been formally announced, he seemed to hint that he would be collaborating with the rising stars of the company.
