WWE put a cryptic and outstanding angle together as Bray Wyatt’s return. As Ringside News exclusively reported, the company brought in director Rob Fee to make sure it was done correctly.

Fans were quick to spot a few homages to Bray Wyatt’s past during that vignette. One thing that was seen had to do with Brodie Lee and Erick Redbeard’s former Bludgeon Brother gimmick.

When Wyatt walked through the door on that Extreme Rules stage, a light, that was similar to Brodie Lee’s AEW debut as the Exalted One, erupted through the door. Abby The Witch’s mask was also the same that Brodie Lee used during the Bludgeon Brothers gimmick.

This tribute was on purpose, because everything about that return was done in a very careful fashion. Only time will tell what’s next, but fans certainly noticed how much this return meant to the entire pro wrestling landscape.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
