AEW has certainly come a long way after its inception back in 2019. They have strived to provide an alternative to WWE and succeeded in it for the most part. Tony Khan also commented on WWE releasing so many talented wrestlers.

AEW President Tony Khan has a lot of passion for pro wrestling and that is never under question. He books every single storyline within the company, but definitely has help as well.

According to the latest Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that Tony Khan receives help on formatting AEW programming from QT Marshall, who, in addition to his onscreen persona, also serves in a number of backstage roles. Marshall is a highly utilized talent throughout the company.

Tony Khan will continue to believe that AEW will be proper competition to WWE and perhaps he will be right one day. However, that day is still far from happening right now.
