Andrade El Idolo made a name for himself working in CMLL in Mexico as well as New Japan Pro Wrestling. He then honed his craft in WWE and eventually made his way to AEW. Lucha Libre promotion AAA also figured out that having Kenny Omega win against Andrade El Idolo at TripleMania was the better decision.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer revealed that Kenny Omega offered to lose the Mega Championship to Andrade. The original booking plan was for Andrade to win but the price he was asking was way too high. AAA then decided that they would rather have Kenny Omega win.

At that time, Kenny Omega was very open to losing to Andrade. Losing the championship to Andrade. At first, the original booking plan was for Andrade to win and then AAA decided that Andrade was… I guess it was the price that he was asking. And with the price he was asking, they figured they would rather have Kenny Omega win.

So, Omega won the match even though Flair was there and everything like that and I don’t believe Andrade worked again, but he has not worked some recent shows there. Also, working for AAA meant he couldn’t go to New Japan. I know he would like to go back to New Japan. When he was younger, he held the Intercontinental Title there. He feuded with Shinsuke Nakamura. He was very disappointed when he went to WWE because he thought Andrade could have been a major superstar in Japan.
