Triple H was given the role as the top person in charge of WWE Creative after Vince McMahon stepped down from his role as WWE Chairman. This was the best thing that could have happened for WWE according to fans.

The Game was the brains behind NXT becoming a proper brand for a long time. With him in power, NXT went back to the classic gold and black theme.

According to Dave Meltzer on Wrestling Observer Radio, the 2.0 branding is now officially over, but the philosophy for the new NXT will remain similar. This includes using younger talent.

No more 2.0, it’s just NXT again. They’re going back to the old colors. But the same philosophy in the sense of mostly younger guys coming in, and younger women coming in and everything.”
