Paige had no choice but to retire from in-ring competition in 2017 after she was kicked from behind during a WWE house show. She kept herself busy with a variety of roles afterwards.

The first-ever NXT Women’s Champion departed from the company back in July after WWE decided not to renew her contract for some reason. After waiting a couple of months, Paige decided to dominate headlines

This is because she made her debut during AEW Grand Slam. While speaking on the Keepin’ It 100 podcast, Disco Inferno criticized her debut for lacking impact.

“Everybody’s popping about how great the pop was, but I am sorry, I’d rather a girl come out and make more of an impactful entrance and do something, challenge, verbals, or something there. But her walking out while we are supposed to be ‘Oh my god this in unbelievable!’ whatever…”

WWE also wanted to bring back Paige after Triple H took over. We’ll have to see what Saraya will have to say on the upcoming episode of AEW Dynamite.
