RVD is certainly one of the most technically-gifted pro wrestlers to have ever competed in the pro wrestling world. The icon has competed in several promotions such as ECW, WCW, WWE, and IMPACT Wrestling during his career which has lasted over thirty years.

The Whole F’n Show became a fan of the pro wrestling world in the 80s and realized he wanted to do it all his life. In fact, RVD was also instructed during the early days of his career to say that he was actually related to Jean-Claude Van Damme.

Shawn Michaels bat Booker T, Chris Jericho, Kane, RVD, and Triple H to win the World Heavyweight Championship at Survivor Series 2002. The match featured a spot where RVD accidentally injured The Game’s throat after screwing up a frog splash from the top of an Elimination Chamber pod.

While speaking on Rene Dupree’s “Cafe de Rene” podcast, RVD admitted that he screwed up the spot, leading to Triple H’s injury.

“It wasn’t my idea and I wasn’t comfortable, but I believed in myself enough to think it’s just gonna work out, I’ll be able to pull it off. That was a mistake on my part. I didn’t know how to judge how far to jump out because the cage wasn’t gonna give me any bounce, and is the extra height gonna make a difference in my arc? It was my fault and I f****d up.”

Rob Van Dam was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame last year and also gave Vince McMahon a bunch of rolling papers as gift, which McMahon found very funny. We’ll have to see if he will return to WWE or not.
