Paige’s dreams as a pro wrestler came to a shocking halt after she got injured during a 2017 WWE house show. Following her retirement, she kept herself busy with numerous roles in the company. That long hiatus from the ring might end soon enough in AEW.

Saraya eventually stopped working in WWE back in July after WWE decided not to renew her contract. Fans waited with bated breath for Paige’s next decision in pro wrestling.

Paige, now going by her real name as Saraya, made her debut during AEW Grand Slam. She came out to save AEW Interim Women’s World Champion Toni Storm and Athena from Britt Baker, Serena Deeb, and Jamie Hayter after the Fatal 4 Way match that saw Storm retain her title.

While speaking during an AEW social exclusive, Britt Baker commented on Saraya’s debut and warned her that there wasn’t enough room for her in the promotion.

“I’m good, and most importantly, we’re good. We’ve been through the good, the bad and the ugly together and we came out on top. You know, I originally brought Jamie [Hayter] to AEW to protect me but now, Jamie is my best friend. I need her just as much as she needs me. We’re a team, we’re a unit and this is our house,

Saraya. I don’t know where you came from or where you think you’re going from here, but you might as well turn around right now because there is not room for you here in AEW.”

WWE also wanted to bring back Paige after Triple H took over. It isn’t known if she will end up performing in the ring or not. Regardless, we will have to wait and see how she will fare in AEW.
