The Acclaimed are arguably the most popular tag team on the AEW roster. Max Caster and Anthony Bowens were the favorite to win the AEW World Tag Team Championship from Swerve In Your Glory at All Out as well, but that didn’t happen. Tonight, the finally beat the champs for the titles.

The Acclaimed accompanied by Billy Gunn entered Arthur Ashe to a roaring ovation. “Platinum” Mas Caster cut his usual rap promo before their big match against defending AEW World Tag Team Champions Keith Lee and Swerve Strickland.

Billy Gunn helped The Acclaimed get the win in a huge way. Gunn hit Strickland with a fameasser outside the ring, allowing Bowens and Caster to hit their combo finisher on a fallen Strickland. The trio then celebrated the victory by doing the scissoring routine.

Chris Jericho beat Claudio Castagnoli for the Ring of Honor World Championship in the opening match of the night as well. The Jericho Appreciation Society leader ended Claudio’s ROH World Championship reign with a Judas Effect. Keep reading Ringside News for more.
