Braun Strowman’s release from WWE earlier last year puzzled many, as he was seen as a proper star back then. He went on to compete in Contro Your Narrative, but not much after that.

The Monster Among Men finally made his return during a previous week’s episode of Monday Night RAW during the fatal four-way tag team match between The New Day, Street Profits, Alpha Academy, and Los Lotharios, and obliterated them all.

He also decimated Alpha Academy on Smackdown the same week. While speaking on After the Bell, Braun Strowman stated that he believes his WWE release was a much-needed break.

“I honestly needed a break. Nine years with the company at that point basically in the driver’s seat of a Ferrari doing 200 miles an hour for nine years straight, everything’s just blowing by you, tunnel vision.

“Now, I have this opportunity to step outside the bubble of the business and go ‘holy s**t, I have done a lot of stuff.’

“In five and a half years, I’ve literally beaten everyone there is to beat in WWE, I’ve won every title except the US Championship, I’ve main event’ed every pay-per-view, I’ve sold out every building on this Earth, you name them, I’ve been in the ring with them.”

Strowman had a run in with Alpha Academy on this week’s episode of Friday Night Smackdown as well. Strowman also didn’t consider working for other pro wrestling companies after getting released by WWE. We’ll have to see how his feud with Alpha Academy will progress.
