The Viking Raiders and The New Day have been at war for the last couple of weeks. The two teams squared off against each other in a Viking Rules match as well. The match didn’t end well for one member of the Viking Raiders.

Michael Cole noted during SmackDown tonight that Erik of the Viking Raiders suffered an injured foot in the Viking Rules match from the Detroit double taping a few weeks ago and will be out of action for “an indefinite period of time.”

The Viking Raiders were originally supposed to compete in the fatal four-way tag team match to determine the number one contenders to the Undisputed WWE Tag Team Champions, The Usos, during SmackDown this week.

Ringside News exclusively reported that WWE changed the tag team match for SmackDown tonight “out of necessity.’ The company pulled The Street Profits from the match because of Montez Ford and Bianca Belair’s filming commitments.
