WWE will air a pre-taped edition of NXT next Tuesday. The company taped the first set immediately following the conclusion of the one-year anniversary show last night, and taped the second set tonight. The second set of tapings didn’t go well for one NXT star in particular, who apparently got injured in the ring.

Ringside News was told by someone at the second set of television tapings tonight that Tony D’Angelo suffered an apparent head injury after hitting the turnbuckle. The match was stopped abruptly. Tony was helped out by the medical team.

D’Angelo and Channing “Stacks” Lorenzo squared off against Cameron Grimes and Joe Gacy this past Tuesday on NXT 2.0. The duo lost the match after Gacy hit Lorenzo with a Handspring Lariat.

WWE might not air the footage of the incident or scrap the match altogether after what happened to Tony D’Angelo during the TV tapings. Ringside News will continue to monitor the situation as it progresses.
