The AEW All Out media scrum ended in chaos after CM Punk went on a scathing rant on Colt Cabana, Hangman Page, and The Young Bucks, verbally burying them in the process. Punk’s remarks might have been planned weeks in advance as well.

Punk was then involved in a backstage brawl where he engaged in fisticuffs with The Young Bucks and Kenny Omega. As previously reported, AEW has suspended everyone involved in the brawl. There was also the chance of Punk and Ace Steel getting fired.

According to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer noted that CM Punk mentioned a couple of weeks ago that the press conference after the PPV would be interesting.”

“One person noted that Punk two weeks ago when he returned said that the press conference after the PPV would be interesting.”

Bryan Alvarez then said, “I do know that if you talk to people there…they believe that this had been planned and that he was fully intending to go in and do exactly what he did on that day.”

Dave Meltzer added to the conversation to say, “It was very clear it was planned because it was so practiced and everything. I think that the idea was he wanted to use Nick Hausman to tell his speech on Colt Cabana, which was pretty out of context, really.”

Eric Bischoff also recently blasted CM Punk for being bitter and brittle. He will also be out of action for a long time, well into next year because of the injury. Things simply don’t look good for Punk in general.
