AEW’s growth is applauded by many, they also get their fair share of criticism. Two-time WWE Hall of Famer Kevin Nash is not really a big fan of AEW for one specific reason.

Nash appeared on “Kliq This,” and talked about how AEW “books for the smarts.” However, anyone who is smart would see that the CM vs Jon Moxley match on Dynamite was not smartly booked.

[AEW] roped me in with f****** CM Punk vs [Jon] Moxley. What they’re doing over is the f****** thing I hate which is, they’re booking for the smarts and if you’re smart then you already know there is no way CM Punk would kick with a foot that was injured to reinjure himself and go down and cut the match short.

Punk won his AEW World Championship match against Adam “Hangman” Page. He later announced that he would undergo surgery for his foot. It turns out that he broke his foot while doing stage dive. Tony Khan decided to move the title on to Jon Moxley as he became the Interim AEW World Champion at the Forbidden Door PPV.

Moxley and Punk faced each other to settle the debate for the AEW World Championship once again. That’s where the rushed booking choice became visible, as Punk injured himself once again.

The two went toe-to-toe once and for all at AEW All Out. This time, they put on an engaging match, and Punk finally won the match. This was solid Punk match, which might be enough to overcome the subsequent trouble that AEW went through at the All Out media scrum.
