Johnny Gargano was considered the heart and soul of NXT by many fans due to his excellent feuds with the likes of Tommaso Ciampa, Adam Cole and more. He got insanely over and that was always a constant.

After Gargano’s WWE departure, fans simply wondered what the future held for Johnny Wrestling. After Triple H became the Creative head of WWE, fans believed Gargano would come back. That is what ended up happening in the end, as fans were simply glad.

Gargano finally made his return to WWE on last week’s episode of Monday Night RAW. While speaking on Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, Jim Cornette criticized Johnny Gargano’s return, stating that it was not a game changer.

“Obviously, this is the furthest thing from a game changer in any wrestling war that Johnny Gargano… has returned to entertain us with his generic build, his diminutive body, his pale complexion, his undemonstrative face, and his general overall silly demeanor.

Theory needs to be in the mix with top guys in order not only to learn the style of working that the top guys there, but also to be brought up in the people’s eyes, the fans’ eyes. As he’s an upper echelon guy to mix with the top talent. Instead of here’s this guy who just came back after his glorious run in NXT a year and after his wife just had a baby.”

Drew McIntyre also believes Gargano deserves the opportunity he got. It remains to be seen how Gargano and Austin Theory’s feud will be booked in the coming weeks.
