Jon Moxley debuted at AEW Double Or Nothing in 2019 and took no time in becoming one of the company’s mainstays. He is the Purveyor of Violence and is always looking for a fight. CM Punk made an interesting claim about Moxley recently.

CM Punk made his debut in AEW back during AEW Rampage: The First dance. Since then he has become one of the highlights of AEW Television as well. Not everyone is happy with Punk in AEW either.

While speaking with Sports Illustrated ahead of his AEW Title unification match against Jon Moxley, CM Punk claimed that Jon Moxley followed in his footsteps throughout his career.

“I think Moxley is a guy who followed in my footsteps. He was a guy that was never really given the ball [in WWE]. When he was, it was taken away from him, time and time again, for other stars.

I think he’s got a chip on his shoulder because he thinks the same thing’s happening to him again.”

Moxley ended up squashing Punk in under three minutes to become the undisputed AEW World Champion. With AEW All Out right around the corner, the company might already have an opponent in mind for Moxley.
