Speculation surrounding MJF’s absence is still running rampant online. The AEW star hasn’t been seen on television since his infamous “pipe bomb” promo on Dynamite in June.

One current AEW star who recently gave MJF a lot of cred for helping him get signed by the company is Mark Sterling. He joined Tony Schiavone and Aubrey Edwards on this week’s “AEW Unrestricted” about his first appearance in the company as MJF’s lawyer and how that all came to be.

Max and I went to the same wrestling school. So when the opportunity came up in an angle that there is a lawyer involved, obviously he said, ‘I got the guy.’ So that’s when I came down.

The angle involved MJF attempting to ban Jon Moxley’s Paradigm Shift from being used in a match between the two. Sterling eventually became the lawyer for current TBS Champion Jade Cargill before moving over to working with Tony Neese.
