WWE saw lot of releases over the past couple of years. One of the last batches of cuts included Dexter Lumis, but Triple H reversed that in hurry once he gained control of creative. That being said, Lumis still had business to take care of in NXT.

Indi Hartwell and Dexter Lumis’ storyline never saw a satisfying conclusion in NXT. Instead, Vince McMahon fired him, leaving fans to piece whatever they could together with the angle’s remains. This week on NXT, those fans got their closure.

Hartwell took to the ring, and she started cutting a sad promo. Then Dexter Lumis appeared under the ring and slid toward her. They embraced in the squared circle, and then he carried her off. Sadly, their reunion was short-lived.

Lumis carried Indie to a side door of the Performance Center, where the blue lights of police could be seen through the glass door. He said goodbye, in his own nonverbal way, and then he went outside to meet his fate.

Dexter Lumis, a character that is actually a serial killer, was dragged off by police. Indi Hartwell was very sad to see her Dexy leave once again, but at least she got to say goodbye this time.

Lumis is on the main roster now, so he won’t be missing from television. If anything, his recent abduction of The Miz on RAW only kicked things up a notch for him.

What’s your take on Dexter Lumis’ brief WWE NXT return? Sound off in the comments!

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
