Road Dogg was re-hired within WWE, making yet another person coming back to the fold after Triple H took control of creative. Now, new developments have been made about what his position will entail.

Brad Shepard was first to break the news that Jeff Jarrett is no longer with WWE. He went on to report earlier today that James will be taking over the same position that Jeff Jarrett had as Vice President of Live Events & Creative. It was also revealed that he will report directly to Bruce Pritchard.

James was re-hired today, and he had only been gone from the company since January of this year. He was let go around the time Triple H’s version of NXT was being demolished.

James takes the place of WWE Hall of Famer Jeff Jarrett, who held the title since May 2022. James also inducted Jarrett into the 2018 WWE Hall of Fame class. The two have a decades’ long friendship.

With the re-hiring of James, 2 former members of Triple H’s group DX will be working closely The Game, Shawn Michaels being the other. James previously worked with the company from 2019 until this January at the performance center. He taught his students promo and character skills.
