The Women’s Divison on NXT 2.0 is on fire right now with Nikkita Lyons being the big fan favorite currently. She was set to have a big debut this week, but unforeseen circumstances put those plans on ice.

Lyons was supposed to be in a tag team match with Zoey Stark, but she suffered a concussion at NXT Heatwave. However, according to a report from Dave Meltzer‘s weekend update noted that Nikkita Lyons couldn’t appear on WWE SmackDown on Friday night because she wasn’t able to travel to Canada due to not being vaccinated against COVID-19.

“Stark suffered a concussion in her match Tuesday [NXT Heatwave] with Mandy Rose and wasn’t cleared. Lyons wouldn’t have been allowed to go as they didn’t realize she wasn’t vaccinated and thus couldn’t get into Canada.”

The immigration policies are still in place requiring travelers to provide proof of vaccination to enter Canada, It’s possible that WWE was unaware that Lyons was unvaccinated and unable to enter the country.

The replacement team for Starks and Lyons, Toxic Attraction, Jacy Jayne and Gigi Dolin, defeated Natalya and Sonya Deville to advance in the Women’s Tag Team Tournament to determine new champs after the titles were vacated by Sasha Banks and Naomi back in May 2022.
