Konosuke Takeshita won over AEW fans in recent months. He has competed in a series of terrific matches on AEW television, against the likes of Claudio Castagnoli and Jon Moxley. Takeshita also addressed whether he’d go to WWE after some speculation that they might be interested in the DDT-Pro star.

The young Japanese wrestler saw a ton of success in Japan, winning multiple titles in various promotions before making his way to the US earlier this year. In the span of 4 months, His entry into AEW was thanks to their relationship with his company in Japan.

Takeshita has competed in numerous promotions apart from AEW as well. He will now likely return to DDT-Pro after an impressive stint in All Elite Wrestling. While speaking to Cultaholic, Konosuke Takeshita made it clear WWE is not in his future.

“To be honest, now I’m not interested in WWE. My next goal is more fights in AEW I hope. So I have to go to back to Japan in August and September. Maybe, not decided yet, I hope I go back to America in October. Then if I stay in the US I can come to the UK more times. From Japan to the UK is so far but US to UK is maybe seven hours. It’s possible.”
