Drew McIntyre has been getting a massive boost in his popularity lately. While he revealed that the backstage sentiment is positive during the regime change in WWE, it might mean good news for him in particular. The WWE superstar has been building up to his Clash At The Castle pay-per-view appearance.

McIntyre is scheduled to face off against Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship. However, the star is set to miss a couple of upcoming shows due to a back issue.

The star has been pulled from a few upcoming shows, as we previously reported. The initial report came from Jason Powell of ProWrestling.net, and PW Insider has confirmed it.

McIntyre is off the screen for a while, though this is not because of needing surgery. He simply needs to rest and deal with his back issues, which might be stemming from a lack of recovery. Since WWE stars are often very active, McIntyre is going to have a hard time dealing with his time off.
