At last night’s Quake of the Lake edition of AEW Dynamite, fans saw the return of AEW Champion CM Punk. The Champion helped clear out the ring after a brutal match between Chris Jericho and Interim AEW Champion Jon Moxley. Despite hopping around on his previously injured foot and looking healthy, one report suggests that Punk may still need time to recover.

According to PW Insider, the injury to Punk was as bad as many reported it to be two months ago. The report added that although Punk looked healthy last night, he was still rehabbing and had told many that he’s still in significant pain.

During his shocking return last night, Punk was involved in a brief stare-down with Moxley, who gave the AEW Champion the finger before walking off. The Interim AEW World Title will go away once that match happens.

Obviously, there is a lot of uncertainty here, because you never know what to expect from Tony Khan’s company. We will continue monitoring this ongoing story here at Ringside News.
