Paige’s Mother Thought Of Her Name While On An Acid Trip

Paige was forced into an early retirement back in 2017. After that, she kept herself busy with a variety of roles in WWE and had a solid run on Twitch until her contract expired. She also got her ring name under bizarre circumstances.

The first-ever NXT Women’s Champion announced that she would be parting ways with WWE. Vince McMahon’s former company simply decided not to re-sign her. Since then, Paige has become a free agent and can do whatever she wants now.

While speaking on “The Bellas Podcast,” Paige revealed that her mother came up with her name while tripping on acid during a Slayer concert.

So my mum, you know how crazy my mum is,” Saraya said. “… It was like the ’80s or whatever, and she was tripping on acid at a Slayer concert. And she misheard it as ‘Saraya,’ and that’s how I got my name, and it was just from an acid trip and her not being with it.”

Paige also has no intentions of going to AEW anytime soon. We will have to wait and see what the future holds for her. She might just go back to the UK with her family, because she is 100% in control of her own life. Fans are still waiting with bated breath to see what she does next.
