Vince McMahon made headlines last month after he secretly paid $3 million as settlement to a departing employee. Because of this, McMahon was under investigation, and Mr. McMahon eventually retired from his own company. An ex-WWE writer believes his retirement is a face as well.

It was then discovered that McMahon also paid $12 million in hush money to quite a few women over the last twenty years. This was what truly drew the ire of many, and it amounted in the catalyst for Vince McMahon’s exit.

Vince McMahon took to Twitter on Friday and announced his decision to retire from WWE. This sent shockwaves across the world of pro wrestling as no one ever expected this at all.

While speaking on Legion of RAW, former WWE writer Vince Russo talked about Vince McMahon retiring from WWE. Russo stated that McMahon’s retirement is nothing but a farce.

“I worked with Vince. I know Vince. Guys, if you really think Vince McMahon is retired, you’re clueless. What do you think Vince McMahon is doing, bro? Reading a book? Going for a stroll on the beach like hanging out at the pool in Connecticut. Retirement basically meant I could not show my face up at TV, at the office anymore, but if you don’t think, bro, every thing is still not getting run by him, and he is not calling the shots, then you don’t know Vince McMahon.”

It is unlikely anyone will actually agree with what Vince Russo had to say regarding this matter. Regardless, we’ll have to see just how much WWE will change now. For the time being, WWE doesn’t necessarily want big changes either way.
