WWE Fans Believe Vince McMahon Retired Before More Allegations Surface

Vince McMahon’s influence on the pro wrestling industry is undeniable. McMahon purchased WWE from his father, Vincent J. McMahon, in 1982 and turned it into a global phenomenon.

The 77-year-old took to Twitter on Friday and announced his decision to retire from WWE. McMahon also named Stephanie McMahon and Nick Khan as co-CEO’s of the company.

Ringside News ran a poll and asked fans what they thought was the reason behind Vince McMahon’s sudden departure from WWE. Most fans said Vince retired because he knew more allegations would surface in the near future. As of this writing, over 80% of fans, over 1,500 votes so far, show that fans believe that Vince stepped down totally because more allegations are coming.

It was previously reported that Vince McMahon privately made the decision to retire a couple of days ago. WWE higher-ups had already begun arrangements for the transition.
