Fuego del Sol has not been one of the most successful AEW wrestlers when it comes to win-loss record. The undersized underdog often shows heart, but since finally earning his AEW contract, he always seems to come up short. His run of bad luck has finally reached a breaking point. That has led to some pent up frustration for Fuego, and he is ready to unleash that energy.

On tonight’s AEW Dark, Fuego del Sol is set to take on his old rival, QT Marshall. After being overlooked and a huge loss of momentum, Fuego is looking to take his game to a new level. In a promo on Twitter, he promised to bring a new attitude that will grab the fans’ attention.

“I delete my tweets and change my bio, and suddenly, rumours and speculation swirling about what’s next for Fuego del Sol, well let me tell you, wrestling is all about presentation and momentum. A year ago, I had all the momentum in the world, and when I got my contract, I thought that meant the right people had finally recognised just how damn talented Fuego del Sol really is.

I’m pissed off, and I refuse to wait any longer for someone to showcase this talent when I can do it my damn self. You want to know what’s next for me? I’ll tell you where you can find this new attitude. Now that I have your attention, I want you to turn it to AEW tomorrow night when I wrestle my old rival, QT Marshall.

Because regardless of whether it’s Dynamite, Rampage, Elevation, or Dark, lucky for them AEW is paying me to stick around a little bit longer, and I don’t think they realise the new Fuego they’re getting, because this Fuego is going to spit this fire, turn up the heat and take over the wrestling world, even if I gotta do it all by my damn self.”

Fans who want to check out Fuego del Sol’s new approach to wrestling can watch Dark on AEW’s YouTube Channel. Dark airs every Tuesday at 7 PM Eastern. It will be interesting to see if Fuego’s new attitude brings him any more success.
