Ric Flair is training hard for his upcoming final match in professional wrestling. The Nature Boy has been rehabilitating his image after negative portrayal on an episode of ‘Dark Side of the Ring’ completely derailed his career. WWE recently added Ric Flair back into their opening video package, and now, Flair has teased that his last opponent will come from the company’s Raw brand.

The opponent for Ric Flair will be revealed this evening. Until then, Ric left fans a juicy tidbit to speculate about. In a tweet this morning, Flair said he was coming for someone from Monday Night Raw.

“On July 31, I’m Coming After One Of Your Own. #WWERaw And Tonight At 6:05, The Entire World Will Find Out.”

Ric Flair’s last match was originally rumored to include the Rock n Roll Express in a tag team match. They are wrestling elsewhere on the card, so it is unlikely to be them. Jay Lethal has been heavily speculated among the wrestling community, but he has never worked for WWE.

It will be interesting to see if Vince McMahon allows a contracted superstar to wrestle on what is technically a Jim Crockett Promotions event. It’s not unprecedented, as Bret Hart notably wrestled Terry Funk in a “retirement” match in 1997. Other WWE talent also appeared at that event.

We will know soon enough, as the mystery opponent will finally be revealed tonight. Fans can check out part two of the Ric Flair’s Last Match documentary series tonight. The mystery will soon be solved, but Ric couldn’t leave fans without one last big tease before the announcement.
