NXT 2.0 made its debut in September last year and it promised an entirely new outlook on the product. While it did bring about quite a few changes, not all of them were met with a positive reception. Johnny Gargano has an interesting take on NXT’s latest iteration.

With a fresh look and coat of paint, came a new sense of direction which has seen a new set of WWE Superstars, especially the likes of Bron Breakker. However, not quite a few talents have yet to truly connect with the fans.

One could argue that Cora Jade and a few others are finally being appreciated by fans as well. While speaking on Good Karma Wrestling, Johnny Gargano stated that he fully understands why NXT changed its creative direction.

“I totally understand it, they went to more of a strictly developmental program, which I totally get. They’re building people for the future and they have a lot of great gems there and a lot of people that should turn out and hopefully become superstars one day.”

Johnny Gargano also has unfinished business with WWE. It remains to be seen whether he will head back to WWE somewhere down the line or not.
