AEW has certainly come a long way since its inception back in 2019. They have improved in numerous ways and continue to make changes. Tony Khan also plans to do the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, but only in North America.

AEW held its Forbidden Door pay-per-view last month, and it was certainly a resounding success. It was a financial success and also featured several excellent matches, from the top to the bottom of the card.

While speaking to the New York Post about the future of the Forbidden Door pay-per-view, Tony Khan stated that they will only take place in North America.

The idea of doing an event over there with AEW stars and New Japan stars is very potentially interesting, but if it happens it won’t be Forbidden Door. Forbidden Door is gonna stay in North America. It wouldn’t make sense with the time zones, the revenue.”
