Chris Jericho was stuck in the United Kingdom late last year after a serious health issue emerged during a tour with his band, Fozzy. Once he eventually returned, fans noticed that Chris had lost a lot of weight. That set off plenty of speculation about the nature of his illness.

Tony Khan recently noted that Chris Jericho was suffering from blood clots on his lungs. On the latest episode of “Talk is Jericho,” The Wizard went into great detail about how serious the situation was. He gave a brief explanation of his condition before describing all the tests and treatments he had to go through to get back into the ring.

“Alright, so, as the title of this show states, after Tony Khan kind of let the cat out of the bag a few weeks ago, I did have what is called a pulmonary embolism back in December… 7th, I believe, of 2021, and I found this out when I was in London, England…

Now, a pulmonary embolism basically means blood clots in your lungs, and that’s what I had, a whole bunch of them, which are now pretty much gone. All of them are gone, which is great to hear.”

Chris Jericho said that he was feeling short of breath after one of the Fozzy shows. He was told by his doctor that if he was having those symptoms that he should go to the hospital immediately. The night he finally did, he noted the venue was particularly small and hot. He attempted to soldier through, but eventually, the discomfort became overwhelming.

He was advised to go to the hospital right away. After trying to put off the visit, he continued the tour in an attempt to make it to London, where he would eventually seek medical attention and learned about his condition. That led him to medical weight loss clinic, where he worked to lose 32 pounds.

Chris Jericho is currently doing much better and appears to be in great shape. Things could have been much worse for the former AEW World Champion. Fortunately, he was eventually able to get medical attention and came out on the other end in excellent condition. You can check out the entire show embedded below.
