AEW announced last month that Baddies Section member Red Velvet is out of action with an injury. A minute didn’t pass before TBS Champion Jade Cargill quickly said that “the show must go on,” prompting Cargill’s manager Stokely Hathaway to announce that the group was in search of a new temporarily replacement. Now, it appears the group may’ve found their ‘interim baddie.’

During last night’s episode of Dynamite, Hathaway promptly introduced Leila Grey as the new ‘interim baddie’ while Velvet recovers from her injuries. Grey assisted the Baddies in taking down Athena and Kris Statlander last week following Cargill’s title defense against Grey.

Cargill and Kiera Hogan didn’t seem thrilled with the Baddie’s newest recruit. They both snubbed a handshake attempt from Grey and walked off before Hathaway could explain his reasons for recruiting Grey. As the other two baddies walked off, Grey refused Hathway’s offer for a fist bump.

Although there appears to be trouble within The Baddies stable, Jade Cargill remains a dominant force on the roster. Cargill still has to contend with Athena, who’s very anxious to take her championship. However, with such an impressive winning streak, it may be awhile before fans witness her first singles loss.
