The Nature Boy Ric Flair has a big month ahead of him as he prepares to wrestle his supposed final match in Nashville, Tennessee, as part of Starrcast V. Although there have been many who felt concerned for Flair’s wellbeing, The Nature Boy doesn’t appear all that deterred and wants to go out on his terms. One Hall of Famer who is praising Flair for sticking to his guns is Booker T.

During an interview with TMZ Sports, Booker T gave his thoughts on Flair’s decision to wrestle one final match at the age of seventy-three. The five-time WCW Champion seemingly shares the same sentiment as the Nature Boy.

What Ric Flair is doing, he’s doing that because he loves this business, man. Ric Flair told me a long time ago that he would never retire. That’s that guy, man. He’s gonna come in and go out in a blaze of glory. You can only respect that.

Flair’s final match is promoted under the legendary banner of Jim Crockett Promotions. Interestingly, his final match occurs on the same weekend and city as WWE’s SummerSlam. As of now, there is no word on whether any WWE stars will make an appearance in the Starrcast V event.
