D-Von Dudley recently underwent a spinal fusion surgery that ended his in-ring career. The legendary tag team star is still very involved with pro wrestling. D-Von is backstage producer for WWE, but missed several months due to the operation.

The former tag team champion said he hoped to return to work sometime in June. That schedule has worked out. D-Von announced via Twitter that he finally came back on Tuesday night.

Dudley said he is feeling great. He expressed his appreciation for his new role with NXT in Orlando. He is thankful for the opportunity to keep doing what he loves.

“This [past] Tuesday night was the first time back at work since my back surgery that took me out last October. Feeling great and Glad to be back, but even more glad to be back in my new role in NXT. Love working with the new talent now. I thank God for this opportunity.”

D-Von Dudley brings a wealth of knowledge NXT. He has been involved in training for years. Now, he will get to impart that experience to the young stars of WWE’s developmental brand.

It’s great to hear that D-Von’s recovery is going as planned. He has been waiting to get back to work for a long time. The WWE Hall of Famer is thrilled to have the opportunity to work in NXT.
