Tony Khan has a very hands-on approach when it comes to his company’s booking. The AEW head honcho personally sees to the match endings and rarely gives a thumbs up to dirty or DQ finishes.

Former WWE superstar Road Dogg sees a problem with this kind of booking strategy. The 1/2 of the New Age Outlaws spoke at length about AEW’s strict rules regarding DQ finishes on his “Oh…You Didn’t Know” podcast.

“Using the point system like they do in AEW… at some point you’re going to book yourself into a corner there, because everybody needs to be able to be beaten, and everybody needs to be able to win. It’s just not good for everybody. Can’t we just tell the story and not do that?”

AEW rarely take a break from their hard and fast rules when it comes to win/loss records. The promotion’s ranking system has seen its fair share of criticism. Keep reading Ringside News for more!
