Rhea Ripley was set to challenge for the RAW Women’s Championship at Money In The Bank. However, a possible brain injury has kept Ripley out of action, and she’s now been replaced by Carmella. Though it appeared Ripley being pulled was a sudden decision by WWE, apparently that may’ve not been the case.

Fightful’s Sean Ross Sap has reported behind a pay wall that WWE knew they needed to pull Ripley from the match weeks ago. Therefore, the decision to pull Ripley from the match was one they knew was coming.

WWE was aware of Rhea Ripley being out of her match well ahead of time, as far back as the previous week.

Ripley recently joined Edge’s Judgement Day faction last month. The faction then booted Edge and now just has Ripley, Damien Priest, and the newest member Finn Balor. If Ripley had been healthy, she would’ve gone into Money In The Bank with the numbers advantage against champion Bianca Belair. While Ripley is out of action for right now, she isn’t expected to be out for long.
