There have been plenty of rumors about the next Ring of Honor event since Tony Khan purchased the company back in March. Earlier this month, AEW talent was informed that the plan was to hold Death Before Dishonor in late July in Lowell, Massachusetts. That announcement has now been made official.

Ring of Honor shared the announcement on Twitter this morning. The event will take place on July 23 at 8 PM. Tickets will go on sale on Friday, July 8.

“#ROH returns to PPV on Saturday, July 23 LIVE from Lowell, Ma. Tickets go on sale Friday, July 8 @ 10am ET”

AEW has been featuring Ring of Honor titles and talent heavily on Dynamite and Rampage. Tony Khan has been looking for a new TV home for the promotion and is hoping for a full re-launch soon. Death Before Dishonor could be a perfect time if he has something in place before then.

The poster for the show features Jay Lethal, Samoa Joe, Mercedes Martinez, and several reigning ROH champions. World title holder Jonathan Gresham, ROH Pure Champion Wheeler Yuta, and ROH Tag Team Champions FTR are all prominently shown. There should be plenty of familiar names in Lowell.

We will have to wait and see how things shake out in the coming weeks. It’s likely that Khan will use AEW television to build for the event. Ring of Honor fans have been waiting a long time for official word on the next show, so there should be a lot of excitement heading into July 23.
