The Good Brothers’ contracts with Impact Wrestling are set to expire very soon. Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson both have stated that they are loyal to Scott D’Amore and the promotion in the past. Still, many expected their run with the company to wind down as their deals ran out. That may not be the case after the team’s performance at last night’s Impact Slammiversary pay-per-view.

The Good Brothers defeated The Briscoes to win the Impact tag team titles at last night’s show. Many were surprised by the title change, as many expected that Doc Gallows and Karl Anderson would be leaving Impact Wrestling. It may be a sign that the team is looking into re-signing with the promotion.

On the latest Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said he was surprised by the outcome. He mentioned the rumors about the team not renewing their contracts. Dave noted that winning the titles may have changed a lot of people’s perceptions.

“I was surprised about that because I just figured that the Good Brothers… The deal, you know, their contracts coming due. There was a lot of talk that maybe they wouldn’t be renewing, but maybe they are now, maybe Impact’s going to renew them.”

The Good Brothers are international stars and have spent time with every major promotion. Still, it was Impact who was there when WWE gave them their walking papers. For that, they still feel sense of loyalty.

Time will tell if Gallows and Anderson re-up with Impact Wrestling. It would be a huge signing for the company, which often loses major stars to larger promotions. For now, Impact is more than comfortable with The Good Brothers as the face of their tag team division. We will see if that results in a new contract.
