Jeff Hardy recently made headlines after he was arrested for driving under the influence after leaving a local Dave & Busters. A lot of blame was placed on him but some of it also fell on Matt Hardy, who was with his brother at the event before his arrest. Matt Hardy also hit back at Bill DeMott for accusing him of being responsible for Jeff’s DUI arrest.

Bill DeMott recently commented on Jeff Hardy’s DUI arrest. He blasted Jeff Hardy for his reckless behavior, noting how a drunk driver was responsible for the death of his daughter as well.

3rd DUI in 10 years. NO license, NO business behind the wheel, probation violations…..HE should be held #Accountable on ALL charges and NOT allowed bail! @AEW #NoExcuses @KADFoundation1

@AEW has to address this now! There is NO justification for this mans actions. Are we going to wait until he kills himself or someone else? We have a #RepeatOffender Mentality and every SELFISH person that continues to put others in jeopardy needs to be held #Accountable #NoBail

You have more than enough money for a cab, for an Uber, for a Lyft. THERE IS #NOEXCUSE for this!

There are NO possible reasons for him to be behind the wheel of any vehicle!

DeMott also asked where Matt Hardy was and why he let his brother drink and drive after a fan raised the question. Matt Hardy then took to Twitter and hit back at DeMott, stating that he did not expect Bill to speculate.

“Understand your passion on this & agree that DD is unacceptable. I expect speculation from fans, but not you. I haven’t touched a drug in over a decade, haven’t drank since I’ve been a Dad. Saw Jeff last on Sun night & flew early Mon w/Reby Hardy. I can’t be with Jeff every min

Jeff Hardy could face jail time if he is found guilty. For their part, AEW has suspended Jeff Hardy without pay until he makes full recovery. We’ll have to see when Jeff will be able to come back.
