AEW and MJF’s situation is still very interesting and things are not dying down. The rumor mill is still churning and we have more tidbits to add.

Sean Sapp reported behind Fightful’s paywall that MJF spoke to Tony Khan at Rampage prior to him not showing up at the Double or Nothing fan fest meet and greet. It is reported that “we’re not sure how that conversation went or if that led to what followed the next day.”

That vivid report shows just how unclear this situation remains for many as nearly everyone is under the belief that it is all a work at this point, but there is debate on whether it started out as a shoot.

In addition, MJF was not present at the party after the Dynamite that included his pipe bomb speech where he called Tony Khan a “f*cking mark” on live television in front of those executives. He was also not present at Rampage on Ontario. That being said, some are under the belief that MJF is also vying for a career in Hollywood.

MJF has had a growing interest in pursuing Hollywood opportunities. According to his friends, as well as other consistent sources, MJF has been speaking more about the possibility of getting into acting. He’d mentioned this in an interview with Ariel Helwani, the same one that helped start the issues between he and AEW. He also claimed to have recorded a voiceover for an animated role that comes out next year. People within AEW have heard that MJF had meetings set up last week in LA later in the week to possibly explore that route. Many have heard this mentioned as far back as March.

We will have to see what happens in this situation. A lot of things are in motion and MJF is currently in a strange state with his character. Only time will tell whether Maxwell shows up on Dynamite this week or whether he appears on the silver screen next.
