Sasha Banks and Naomi walked out of WWE during the opening of RAW last week. If you haven’t heard that news yet, then we have to wonder if you’ve been online at all for the past week. It is impossible to avoid an update, opinion, or meme about The Boss and The Glow walking out. One place their names are not coming up is during creative pitches.

Banks and Naomi were suspended from WWE and pulled from the road. Vince McMahon’s company went a step further and also pulled their items off WWE’s shop and their official Facebook pages were pulled down. Now their stans will have to buy that new collaboration t-shirt on Amazon (here’s the link, you’re welcome) and they must share opinions elsewhere on social media.

Ringside News was told that Banks and Naomi’s names are not being pitched at all in creative meetings. There was no official mandate handed down about them, but “it is pretty obvious to everyone that they are gone.”

It would be pretty foolish at this point to pitch anything for them “in case they come back.” Nobody would ever pitch that to Vince McMahon anyway especially considering how he reacts to something like a sneeze. Saying to McMahon, “Hey Vince, in case you’re thinking of bringing them back,” is like sneezing times a million.

Vince McMahon is obviously furious about the former WWE Women’s Tag Team Champions walking out. A ton of adjustments needed to be made for Hell in a Cell and beyond as Banks and Naomi are indefinitely suspended.

At this point there is no indication that Banks and Naomi will ever be back, but that’s not to say they won’t return. It just means that their names are off the table in the writers’ room and that will likely remain the case for the foreseeable future.

I love pro wrestling and hate BS. These two things drive me. Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News. Worked in finance before realizing pro wrestling journalism made much less sense. Pro beachballs at pro wrestling shows, pro dives if someone catches, anti bullies, olives, and pineapples on pizza.
