Hulk Hogan seldom makes appearances in the wrestling industry anymore. Fans will remember that he last appeared opening both nights of WrestleMania 37 with Titus O’ Neil where he was heavily booed. Hogan’s last official match occurred on a TNA show in London, England, when he teamed with former rival Sting in a tag match. There haven’t been any hints of Hogan wrestling again; however, all seems to be changing now.

Former WWE star Brain Blair may’ve let slipped that Hogan could be coming to the Starrcast V event to wrestle Ric Flair. Speaking with Wrestling Shoot Interviews, Blair discussed what he was looking forward to seeing most at Starrcast and Hogan’s name was brought up.

I’m looking forward to seeing Flair and Hogan…

Blair was then asked about the age and health issues of the two legendary wrestlers. With Hogan being 68 and Flair being 73, it’s understandable to worry about the wellbeing of both men. While Blair is praying for both men he also believes that the fans are the ones really pulling for this potential match.

Well, I think if Ric were gonna die anywhere, he’d wanna die in the ring. Terry’s had his fair share of surgeries, way too many and I’m getting ready to call Terry in a couple of minutes. I just wish them the very best. I know the fans are the ones that have been really egging it on that really want to see it. So it’s sparked them. All I can say it will be interesting and I just pray that they both come out in one piece.

It’s important to note that when asked if Blair was indeed confirming Hogan’s return he immediately backtracked and claimed he read it on the internet. This was the first we heard that Hogan was taking Ricky Steamboat’s spot in that match.

Hogan and Flair first faced off at a WWE live event in 1991. Fans will also remember Hogan helping Flair win the 1992 Royal Rumble match to become WWE champion. If these two do indeed face off once again, it’ll definitely be something fans will talk about for quite some time.
