The Hardys invaded Prince George, Virginia last night for a huge match involving an old friend. Big Time Wrestling’s event featured a scheduled bout with Gangrel and Joey Janela, known as the “New New Brood.” The original New Brood consisted of the vampiric wrestler along with Matt Hardy and Jeff Hardy in WWE.

In 1999, The Hardys and Gangrel feuded with Edge and Christian over the services of Terri Runnels. The New Brood split up after a brief affiliation, but fans often express their appreciation for the group. Last night, they reunited one more time.

Matt Hardy shared a photo from the event on Twitter. The Hardys did their signature poses as Gangrel joined in. It was a brief, yet nostalgic reminder of a different era in pro wrestling.

“The New Brood has REUNITED.”

The Hardys have been touring the independent circuit all over the country since reuniting in AEW. The team recently won the IWC tag team titles in Pittsburgh. They’re also on a collision course with The Young Bucks for the upcoming Double or Nothing pay-per-view.

Wrestling fans always love a good throwback moment. The New Brood reuniting certainly qualifies. Time will tell if The Hardys will cross paths with Gangrel again in the future.
