AEW fans just got their big wish fulfilled. Tony Khan’s company is making Trios Titles and the belts are ready. Tony Khan confirmed this himself today, but that’s not all.

AEW President, Tony Khan spoke to TSN and confirmed he has made AEW Trios Championships. Not only that but Khan also said he made them a long time ago. There are also more belts that he had made that fans wouldn’t expect.

“I saw Dave reported it and nobody’s asked me on the record yet, but it is truthful that I have made the belts. I made them a long time ago, to be honest with you. They’ve never been seen, and I did have them made. I do have more championship belts in my possession that have never been unveiled than anybody might suspect.

Khan also teased that he has more championship belts up his sleeve. The reveal of this is certainly going to play a major part in the promotion’s growth. Khan implied that he is planning for a big surprise for the debut of the trios belts.

The TBS Championship was in my office for months at the shows before anybody knew it was going to be unveiled, for example, recently. The Ring of Honor purchase and now the great stable of champions[hips] and IP and, not only the legacy of past events, but the great slate of, I think, potential future events we can do with Ring of Honor and all that was kind of a surprise to everybody that we kept under wraps, that came together more quickly, whereas the trios championships are something I’ve thought about for a long time. But there are more championship belts than people might think that I’ve had up my sleeve and the trios championship are, arguably, the foremost.”

It is almost 3 years since AEW’s inception and fans are still waiting for the Women’s Tag Team Championship. The other belts Khan teased could be these ones, but we’ll have to see that.

AEW will have no shortage of six-man tag matches with such bloated roster. Now that Trios Championship Titles have been confirmed, fans just have to sit tight and wait for their debut.
