AEW will present Double or Nothing this Memorial Day weekend in fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada. Some huge matches have already been announced for the show, including the men’s and women’s AEW world title bouts. While several others are yet to be announced, the plans for the event are getting clearer by the day.

The matches already official include the main event of Adam Page vs CM Punk for the AEW World Championship. Thunder Rosa will defend the women’s title against Serena Deeb. Wardlow and MJF will have a contract signing next week, which will likely set their match for Double or Nothing.

In this week’s Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dave Meltzer ran down some other matches that are most likely to happen at Double or Nothing. There is something for everyone, including huge stars and grudge matches that will pepper the card. Nothing is set in stone, but this is the way the pay-per-view is setting up.

“For Double or Nothing on 5/29, official is Adam Page vs. C.M. Punk for the AEW title, the finals of the men’s and women’s Owen Hart tournament, and Thunder Rosa vs. Serena Deeb for the women’s title. It certainly appears Chris Jericho vs. Eddie Kingston in some sort of a [stipulation] match, Wardlow vs. MJF, Sammy Guevara & Tay Conti vs. Scorpio Sky & Paige VanZant (if Guevara is healthy enough), House of Black vs. Death Triangle, Samoa Joe vs. Jay Lethal and Hardys vs. Young Bucks. From there it’s speculation. Bryan Danielson & Jon Moxley going for the tag titles would make 11 matches and that still leaves a lot of key talent on the sidelines.”

Double or Nothing will be followed up by the massive AEW collaboration with New Japan Pro Wrestling, Forbidden Door. That show will go down in June at the United Center in Chicago. Presale tickets sold out nearly instantly.

Tony Khan is once again looking to put his best foot forward with a loaded pay-per-view event in Vegas. Championships will be decided, personal scores will be settled, and there should be plenty of great wrestling. We will have to wait and see if the pay-per-view numbers continue to grow for AEW.
