Joey Janela was AEW’s resident Bad Boy and he took that role very seriously. Since turning heel, Janela has shown a more relaxed and natural side of his character. He suffered an injury as well recently.
At the recent GCW Find You Again event, John Wayne Murdoch squared off against Joey Janela in the main event of the night. Janela did all he could to win the match, including a big dive off of an office building outside the ring.
Joey Janella took to Twitter and showed a photo of a very nasty foot injury he suffered at the event. Janela stated that he felt something was off with his foot.
“Broken foot? Knew something was up after my dive, but I’ll 100% gonna wrap this s–t up and go hard tomorrow in Detroit! @GCWrestling.”
Despite the injury, Joey Janela said that he still intends to wrestle tonight at GCW The Old Me in Detroit, where he will face Bandido in a singles match.
