Alberto Del Rio Set For Major AAA Match

Former WWE Superstar Alberto Del Rio remains highly controversial figure in the pro wrestling world. He was facing several charges of sexual assault but ultimately, they were dropped. He is now set for a huge match in AAA.

Despite his problematic history wrought with rumors and innuendo, Del Rio ended up having a memorable time in WWE. He is a four-time world champion and two time WWE United States Champion and even ended up winning the Royal Rumble once.

According to a report by Emily Pratt of FanByte, Alberto Del Rio is set to appear during the AAA TripleMania XXX event later this month. He will be the surprise tag team partner for Laredo Kid.

According to our source, El Patrón’s Triplemanía appearance has been in the works for over a week.

Del Rio was not the originally planned partner for Laredo Kid, but Visa issues led to a change in plans. Del Rio was picked because AAA booker Konnan ‘felt like he needed a big star, a big surprise’ for the show.

We will have to wait and see how Alberto Del Rio will be booked in the event and whether he will become a regular for AAA or not.
